Meet Usher Nyambi
Usher Takudzwa Nyambi is an accomplished cultural consultant, editor, speaker, and entrepreneur with a decorated portfolio spanning Africa, Europe, and America. A skilled storyteller and International Relations graduate from Africa University, Usher’s work has been featured in leading publications such as Rolling Stone Africa (where he served as Southern African Editor), OkayAfrica, Men’s Health, Hypebeast Africa, GQ, and Glamour South Africa, telling compelling stories from over 20 countries around the globe.
As a journalist, he has covered numerous events across the continent such as the Trace Awards, South African Fashion Week, NBA BAL Finals, Red Bull Symphonic, FNB Art Joburg, Latitudes Art Fair, The Skeyi and Strobo Fabrik Party. He is the founder of Samora Central, a Harare-based PR and Communications Agency connecting the world to Africa.


With a deep passion for literacy, education, and African narratives, Usher has shared his insights on renowned platforms including Mozambique Fashion Week (Mozambique), British Council Creative Economy Week (Zimbabwe), Entertainment Week Africa (Nigeria), ACCES ( South Africa), Zimbabwe Fashion Week (Zimbabwe), Harare International Literature Festival (Zimbabwe), the British Council’s Creative Hustles Program (Virtual), Music Imbizo (South Africa), MIC Drop Africa, and the University of the Witwatersrand, where he delivered a public lecture at the School of Arts.
His early career includes impactful work in international development, having interned at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), where he contributed to the editorial team behind the launch of the Equip Induction Platform and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Usher is also a proud member of Forbes BLK, where he continues to advocate for the transformative power of storytelling, education, and youth development on the African continent.
